I Can't Join My Video Consultation

Fixes for Google Meet connection issues: check internet, allow camera/mic, try different browser or device.

If you're having trouble connecting to your Google Meet consultation, try these steps.

Quick fixes

  1. Check your internet. Connect to Wi-Fi instead of mobile data if possible.

  2. Try a different browser. Google Chrome works best with Google Meet. Additionally, if you're on a mobile device, please ensure you have the latest version of Google Meet on your phone.

  3. Allow camera and microphone. Click "Allow" when your browser prompts you.

  4. Close other apps. Close Zoom, FaceTime, or any app using your camera.

  5. Restart your device. Sometimes a simple restart fixes connection issues.

Check device permissions

  • On mobile: Go to Settings → Apps → Permissions → Enable Camera and Microphone

  • On computer: Click the camera/lock icon in your browser's address bar → Allow camera and microphone

Try joining from a different device

If your phone isn't working, try a laptop or tablet, or vice versa.
