I Took the Wrong Dose

What to do if you took too much or too little, and how to get back on track safely.

If you accidentally took more or less medication than prescribed, here's what to do.

I took MORE than prescribed (overdose)

A single accidental overdose is usually not dangerous, but you should:

  • Do NOT take another dose to "make up for it"

  • Monitor for increased side effects (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea may be more intense)

  • Message your doctor through your account to report what happened

  • Stay hydrated and rest

Seek emergency care if you experience

  • Severe, persistent vomiting

  • Severe abdominal pain

  • Signs of severe low blood sugar (shakiness, confusion, sweating)

I took LESS than prescribed (underdose)

If you injected less than intended:

  • Do NOT inject more to make up the difference

  • Continue with your regular schedule on your next dose

  • Message your doctor if you're unsure how to proceed

I missed my dose entirely

  • Less than 5 days late: Take your dose as soon as you remember

  • 5 or more days late: Skip the missed dose and continue with your next scheduled dose

Never double up on doses.
